We recognize that your privacy is very important and take it seriously. This Privacy Policy describes ZenSports’ policies and procedures on the collection, use, disclosure, and sharing of your information when you use the ZenSports’ Services, via the ZenSports website, ZenSports content embedded on another site (such as a ZenSports “Follow” button), your mobile phone, or through one of ZenSports’ applications for mobile devices (e.g., the ZenSports iPhone or Android applications). We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy does not apply to information we collect by other means (including offline) or from other sources. Capitalized terms that are not defined in this Privacy Policy have the meaning given to them in our Terms of Service.

Information Collection and Use

ZenSports' peer-to-peer sports betting marketplace is currently only available to residents outside the United States. Customers within the United States may view sports betting odds and data, but not place any bets.

ZenSports' Daily Fantasy Sports contests are available to both residents within and outside the United States.

Creating a New Account

When creating a new account, ZenSports gives you the option of signing up with an email address or connecting your Facebook account (see below for information that we collect if you connect your Facebook account). Regardless of which mechanism you use to create a new account, ZenSports requires you to provide the following information:

Country of Residence
Birth Date
Location of Your Phone
Photo of You

Optionally, you also have the ability to add sports that you like to play, skill levels of each sport that you like to play, and availability to play such sports.

Connecting your Facebook account

Should you choose to connect your Facebook account to ZenSports, you will then use your Facebook profile as the primary mechanism for you signing up, logging into your account, retrieving a forgotten password, or resetting your password. As part of this process, ZenSports will collect and store your Facebook user ID. All information from your Facebook profile that Facebook permits to be used by ZenSports will be available for public viewing on the Services. You may provide us with your mobile phone number if you choose to submit questions and receive answers via text message. We may use your email address to send you Services-related notices (including any notices required by law, in lieu of communication by postal mail). You can control receipt of certain Services-related messages on your Settings page. We may also use your contact information to send you marketing email messages. If you do not want to receive such messages, you may opt out by following the instructions in the message. If you correspond with us by email, we may retain the content of your email messages, your email address, and our responses.

Payment / Payout Information

Should you choose to pay for any services within ZenSports, you will be required to provide your credit card information in order to process such payments. You can provide multiple different credit cards for payments, and choose which credit cards you wish to use for each payment.

If you’re eligible to receive payouts from ZenSports (for sports betting, facility, or director payouts), you will be required to provide “Know Your Customer” (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) information that our payment service provider, Stripe, requires. This information can change from time to time based on the latest government regulations. Currently, this collectible information is as follows, depending on whether you’re an individual or business entity:

Individual: First Name, Last Name, Street Address/City/State/Zip Code, Date of Birth, and Social Security Number

Business Entity: All of the above Individual Information plus the Name of the Business, Business Street Address/City/State/Zip Code, and Tax ID/EIN.

ZenSports never stores such financial and personal information on our servers or in our database. We use a third party payment and payout processing service called Stripe for all payment and payout processing. You can check out Stripe’s Privacy Policy by clicking here.

Content Created/Posted

You also provide us information in Data and Content that you post to the Services. Your contributions on the Services, and metadata about them (such as when you posted them), are publicly viewable on the Services, along with your name. This information may be searched by search engines and be re-published elsewhere on the Web in accordance with our Terms of Service.

Inviting Facebook Friends

ZenSports gives you the capability to invite existing Facebook friends and/or contacts from your phone to use ZenSports. You may also invite friends into ZenSports by providing us with their name and email address, and we will then automatically send them an email invitation. ZenSports stores this information to send invitations, to register your friend if your invitation is accepted, to track the success of our invitation service, and to identify your friends on ZenSports. By inviting your friends into ZenSports, regardless of the mechanism for doing so, you warrant that you have their consent to do so and for ZenSports to use this information as described above.

Information Collected Automatically

When you use the Services, we use persistent and session cookies (for information on cookies, please see below) and other tracking technologies such as log files, clear GIFs, and Flash technologies to: (a) store your username and password; (b) analyze the usage of the Services; (c) customize the Services to your preferences; and (d) control the advertising displayed by the Services. We also may include clear GIFs in HTML-based emails sent to our users to determine whether the message has been opened. As we adopt additional technology, we may also gather additional information through other methods.

We use these automated technologies to collect and analyze certain types of information, including: (a) information related to the devices or browsers you use to access or interact with the Services, such as: IP addresses, geolocation information, unique device identifiers and other information about your mobile phone or other mobile device(s), browser types, browser language, and unique numbers or codes in cookies; and (b) information related to the ways in which you interact with the Services, such as: referring and exit pages and URLs, platform type, the number of clicks, domain names, landing pages, pages viewed and the order of those pages, the amount of time spent on particular pages, the date and time you used the Services, and other similar information. We may also capture other data, such as search criteria and results.

ZenSports discloses a subset of this automatically collected information publicly. Specifically, you consent to ZenSports’ disclosure of information related to the ways in which you interact with the Services, such as: landing pages, pages viewed and the order of those pages (including questions and answers viewed), the date and time you used the Services, and other similar information on the Services to other ZenSports users, along with your name and profile picture. If you do not wish to have this information disclosed to the public, you may opt out of this feature by visiting our Settings page.

We may collect different types of information about your location, including general information (e.g., IP address, zip code) and more specific information (e.g., GPS-based functionality on mobile devices used to access the Services), and may use that information to customize the Services with location-based information and features. If you access the Services through a mobile device and you do not want your device to provide us with location-tracking information, you can disable the GPS or other location-tracking functions on your device, provided your device allows you to do this.

Cookies

A cookie is a small text file stored by a website in a user’s web browser (e.g. Internet Explorer, Safari, Firefox or Chrome) that helps us in many ways to make your visit to our website more enjoyable and meaningful to you. Among other things, cookies avoid you having to log in every time you come back to our website. They also allow us to tailor a website or advertisement to better match your interests and preferences.

A session cookie is stored only in your computer’s working memory (RAM) and only lasts for your browsing session. When you close all your browser’s windows, or when you shut down your computer, the session cookie disappears forever.

A persistent cookie remains on your computer after you close your browser so that it can be used by your browser on subsequent visits to the Services. While specific names of the cookies and similar technologies that we use may change from time to time as we improve and update our services, they generally fall into the below categories of use:

Authentication and security cookies. We use these cookies to enable you to remain logged into ZenSports, and verify that it is you as you use ZenSports. This helps keep your account safe and secure from unauthorized use, and helps combat spam and other abuse which violates our policies.

Analytics and research cookies. We use these cookies to better understand how people use ZenSports. For example, how often particular features are used, or which content leads towards user activity.

Product features and setting cookies. We use these cookies to enable the functionality of some features within the ZenSports product, in particular to personalize the experience towards you. We also use these cookies to store certain of your preferences and settings.

Advertising cookies. We use these cookies to help deliver relevant ads to you and measure the performance of ads.

Flash Cookies. We may, in certain situations, use Adobe Flash Player to deliver special content, such as video clips or animation. To improve your user experience, Local Shared Objects (commonly known as "Flash cookies") are employed to provide functions such as remembering your settings and preferences. Flash cookies are stored on your device, but they are managed through an interface different from the one provided by your web browser.
